turbulence

head spinning ears ringing brow sweating overhead fan gently blowing sun shining rain not raining day bright and colourful phone ringing (no I don’t want to talk right now) traffic below loud and noisy phone silent (why can’t you call) eyes blinking pressure cooker whistling baby next door crying women gossiping newspaper open on the comics section don’t want to see the front page depressing news cluttered all over it phone ringing (I told you to stop calling) water bottle almost empty the stench of stale cigarette butts (when will you empty that ashtray) oh oh got new email (no I don’t want to fly to Singapore during the next 15 days) wind chime unnaturally quiet postman delivers mail addressed to previous tenants (Dear Mr so-and-so please repay your loans or else…) phone not ringing ah ha a new SMS (no I don’t want to avail special discounts at XYZ Skin Clinic) this humidity is oppressive wish it would rain a bit where are the rain clouds when you need them most I’m running late no I’m not okay maybe just a little let’s get out of here
