  1. Exodus. I read that when I was about 16. Ngaihnawm tawp. My sister and I loved it like crazy. Uris is/was one awesome writer. He must've done heavy research each time he worked on a novel. I've read quite a number of his books but nothing beats Exodus.

Chuan another novel that we loved back then but was very controversial was Judas my Brother by Frank Yerby. Lo zawng chhin rawh, ambs.

  3. Ok J ka lo zawng chhin ang. I have a thousand books in my to-read list but I just haven't got the time. Sad. Maybe I should win the lottery or marry somebody filthy rich (whichever comes first) so I'll never have to work again and can sit pretty all day and read and read.

  5. I read Exodus quite a long time ago, and I remember being shaken to the core after I read it. That was in the days when I could indulge in really thick books, stay up all night and finish it in a marathon session. Loved his Battlecry too, btw.

  6. ddb - I do agree Exodus is a thick book, I've been at it for about a month now. Battle Cry - now that's another good book. Funny but touching. You know, I read the Mizo translation first, borrowed from a cousin, must have been 15 years now. How we laughed! A few years back I got hold of the original one from another cousin, and it was still as good, in fact much better than the translated one.
